There are few topics today that so urgently demand our attention than that of childhood vaccines. There are many, many children every day being seriously damaged and even killed because of vaccines, but the majority of parents are not even aware. Unfortunately, the risks of vaccines and the number of children being damaged by them rarely makes it on the Evening News or in the Sunday papers. And, chances are high that your doctor doesn’t know a whole lot more about them than you do.
My goal is never to tell a parent what vaccines they should or should not give their child or coerce anyone into making the decision that our family has made. However, I am asking (more like begging and pleading!) you to do your own research on the subject. I will be doing a whole series of posts on vaccines in the future, but for now I encourage you to check out at least one of these resources so you can make the best informed decision for your child – their very life may depend on it.
Dr. Sherri Tenpenny – Her DVD Vaccines: The Risks, Benefits and Choices is the best resource I’ve found. She covers every vaccine in detail, explains what disease it’s given for, what the disease looks like if your child gets it (most are incredibly mild) and the chances of getting a reaction from that particular vaccine. It gave me incredible confidence in the decision we were making as a family.
Think Twice Global Vaccine Institute – This site is full of helpful information. Make sure to read some of the personal stories. Also, under “vaccine books” the two by Dr. Neil Miller are excellent. Your local library may even carry these.
Dr. Mercola – He has a PLETHORA of articles on vaccinations. You can just search “vaccinations” and get lots of great articles.
